10/24/23 – 50/50

This year, like the last couple of years, I set a goal to cycle 6000 km. For various reasons, some objective, some subjective, I am way behind it. As of today, I have only reached 50% of this goal. Commuting in Buenos Aires will not get me much further past that mark. So, for the second year in a row, I will miss the target. I hope I’ll be able to motivate myself to achieve this goal next year. Or, should I just lower my expectations? Nah, just kidding.

This year to date in numbers:

3003 km — distance cycled, exactly the distance I covered in 35 days cycling from north to south of New Zealand
31 500 km — the average annual mileage of professional male cyclists
