12/28/23 – Encore Une Fois

I hadn’t cycled since I arrived in France; I hadn’t even unpacked my Brompton. Rainy weather and household chores kept me from it. However, the past couple of days were sunny and almost free of chores. So, yesterday, I took Greengo out of the suitcase and went on a short ride. I looped through neighboring villages, a couple of which happened to be on the list of the most beautiful villages of France. The ride was very pleasant: cool and sunny, quiet roads, and short enough not to leave me tired.
Today, I woke up to a grey sky, checked the forecast, and sadly realized that yesterday’s ride was the final one for this year. In 2023, I cycled, but not as much as I would have liked to. Hopefully, next year will be more cycling-friendly.
Happy New Year!
