07/27/23 – Doña Salta

We have spent close to four weeks here in Salta. The center is quaint but was too busy during school vacations. Beyond that it is a town without much to offer. However, the surroundings are beautiful with its mountains and gorges. There are more things to do outside of the city than inside, of which we took advantage. My colleagues went to Cafayate, Tren a las Nubes, and Cachi. I joined in on some of these activities and also did some cycling.
In a few days, we will go on a short break while the equipment being transferred to the next city. Many of us will go on exploring different parts of Argentina, myself included. So, stay tuned.

These weeks in numbers:

263 km — distance cycled
1582 — the year Salta was founded
4.7 — magnitude earthquake shook Salta while we were there but I slept peacefully through it
