11/28/21 – Goooooooool!

At the beginning of the year I once again set an annual goal for riding my Brompton. I bumped it up to 6000 km, a thousand kilometers increase from last year.
I didn’t cycle during Montreal’s winter and barely cycled during France’s summer, so I didn’t think I would make it. Upon returning to NYC I picked up the pace and slowly started to close the gap.
After landing in Riyadh it took me a couple of days to settle in, then I continued to pedal towards my goal with short but daily excursions around our compound.
This week I finally crossed the finish line. I don’t know if I will have enough motivation to continue cycling every day before going to work or if I’ll slack off, but one way or another by the end of the year I will be pushing towards the 7000 km mark. The question is how far. On va voir.

This week in numbers:

206 km — distance cycled
6114 km — distance cycled since the beginning of the year
43.56 sec — longest “goal” shout by a soccer fan, a Guinness World Record
