About three months ago, while cycling in New Zealand, I crossed paths with riders participating in The Pioneer MTB race. I cycled along the same gravel road for around 25km, right up to Queenstown.
I even ripped a page out of the wedding crasher’s playbook and crossed their finish line, surprising the spectators and organizers. I was able to track down the photographer who was taking photos of the event.
