Channeling. Day Three – Dijon to Osselle

Today’s ride was pretty straightforward. From Dijon to Saint-Jean-de-Losne, the canal runs almost perfectly straight, with barely any curves. About thirty kilometers in, it met the Saône River — and that was the end of the Canal de Bourgogne… or maybe the beginning for someone heading the other way.
I continued along the EuroVelo 6, which briefly followed the Saône River before linking up with the Rhône à Rhine Canal. I followed that until I reached my campsite. There wasn’t much to report — the scenery was similar to the last two days: peaceful, green, and uneventful.
As for sightseeing, I didn’t do any research, so I wouldn’t even know if I missed something interesting. I did pass through two relatively big towns; one of them, Dole, looked quite charming, but that was about it.
The campsite is next to a lake, and I took full advantage of that — to the point that I got sunburned again. There’s a grotto nearby, but I had to choose between visiting that or cycling 7 km to a grocery store. My stomach made the call — grocery store it was.
